DX-2240, is a human IgG1 which binds to human Tie-1 with high affinity, and stimulates tyrosine phosphorylation of Tie-1 in transfected COS-1 cells and human microvascular endothelial cells. This antibody also binds to Tie-1 on the surface of murine endothelial cells and inhibits (IC50 < 1nM) in vitro tube formation in human umbilical vein endothelial cells and murine lung endothelial cells as well as tube formation in a Matrigel plug implant in vivo model. DX-2240 IgG significantly slowed tumor progression in colorectal, lung and prostate cancer xenograft models in nude mice.
